Big Change in the Forest Hill Real Estate Market

On April 17th, 2015, 649 Lake Street (a/k/a 293-301 Delavan Avenue, a/k/a Meadowview) sold for $740,000!

To put this in perspective, the last time a home in Forest Hill sold in the $700,000s was in 2012 (214-220 Ballantine Parkway). And, you would have to go all the way back to 2007 to find multiple sales at $700,000 or more. I mention this because there are two probable transactions underway right now which, when closed, will join 649 Lake Street to establish a solid basis for high end sales in historic Forest Hill.

But it’s not only high-end homes that will be affected, because high-end sales validate what you know as a home owner, and I know as a Realtor; Forest Hill is a great place to live!

So, if you have considered putting your home on the market this spring, this is the first time in years that you will have comparative sales to support virtually all price ranges.

Call me anytime to discuss the sale of your home. As the table below illustrates, I am quite active in the Forest Hill market and I would love to represent your interests in this exciting real estate market.
