There’s an odd rhythm in the real estate business. For a period of time, deal participants are in very close communication; between phone, email and text rarely a day goes by that there isn’t some communication. Then the deal closes like a just completed book. It’s hard not to feel a sense of loss. I shared that with a wonderful couple I represented in the purchase of an amazing home on Ridge Street in the historic Forest Hill section of Newark. I received this in response:
Thanks to you, the past month has never felt like a transaction. Perhaps a job well done, or we prefer to believe a friendship forged through mutual goals and a chance meeting at the open house you hosted. We have had the most incredibly rewarding few weeks resulting in ownership of Ridge, and getting to know someone we love and respect. This seems to be a great journey. We consider you to be one of the greats.
